Abbie Rademacher screams in joy after scoring the winning goal in extra time to give the Lady Spartans a district title with a 1-0 victory over Francis Howell.
Junior Abbie Rademacher’s golden goal ten minutes into the first period of extra time gave the girls soccer team a district title and will set up a sectional game against Timberland on Tuesday at 7:15 p.m.
The midfielder ended the game with 5:40 left in the first overtime period after a scramble in front of the Howell net off of senior Caitlyn Eddy’s free kick.
The sectional game on Tuesday will have the Lady Spartans facing a team they have already defeated twice this year, both by the score of 1-0. The team’s record currently stands at 21-2.
