Tennis continues winning ways

As the season is rapidly approaching its end, the boys tennis team is in a position that many teams would love to be in. They have a 10-2 record with just three regular season matches left before entering the district tournament. In their latest win, the Spartans took on the Bulldogs of Fort Zumwalt South and came out on top by a score of 5-2. Individual winners in this triumph were senior George Yu, and freshman Sean Nanney.

According to junior doubles player Justin Sanford, the team is seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and they know that they have a chance to do great things this seasn.

“We have played well all season, as we get closer and closer to the end of the season we know exactly what this year could be,” said Sanford. “We know that if we stay focused there may not be any limits.”

The Spartans next match will be today at home against the Lions of Fort Zumwalt East, and then it will be back to the road tomorrow when the Spartans travel to Troy to face the Trojans.
