My Favorite Photo: Corinne Vorderstrasse
Every Fall is game season for Central’s soccer boys, and the team ends the game by shaking hands with the other team as a show of friendly competition. Here, the team ended their game with a win and stayed humble when they said their “good game”s. This game proved to be very difficult for me to shoot, as the field was much larger than I expected, and with both sunset and clouds, the lighting was fighting me every step.
This is my favorite photo of the semester for many reasons. I love the lighting, first and foremost. I’ve always been a fan of sunset lighting, and something about this photo captured the light and shadows of the time of day perfectly. I also love the natural symmetry of the image, with the players making a nice line down the middle of the frame. It’s a photo that I always feel proud of when looking at, and it is very easy on my eyes.
