Peering over her laptop, art teacher Megan Clayton talks to a student in her second hour class.

Mrs. Clayton

Dear Mrs. Clayton,

I’ve only had you a single semester, but you’ve already become one of my favorite teachers! You make art fun for everyone, and give your students as much creative freedom as they need for their projects. You keep a positive attitude constantly, and you share your ideas with your students to help their art be taken to the next level! I’ve never seen you yell or really get that frustrated, which is rare to say about a teacher. Keep being you!

Sincerely,

Kailey Pallares

Mrs Clayton,

You are one of my best friends, greatest advisors, and favorite artists. In the two years I’ve known you we’ve celebrated victories–with candy and dance parties–and mourned losses–also coincidentally with candy–together. We’ve talked about bands, boys and Basquiat and you’ve taught me countless lessons in art and in life. Thank you for being one of the best teachers I’ve ever had, and one of the greatest friends.
