While most students were making a mad dash to cars and buses on Oct. 9 to begin their fall break, the members of the Spartan Regiment were running to the band room to leave for their trip to Oklahoma.
From Oct. 9-12, the entire band was focused and ready to compete head to head against some of the top bands in the country.
Blue Springs South, Kickapoo, Owasso, and Bixby high schools were all in attendance marching, dancing, and playing to the best of their abilities at this Bands Of America competition.
This was sophomore Matt Coffman’s first time going on a trip with the band.
“The other bands were scary good and we are not as good as we think we are,” Coffman said
The Regiment plans on using the information from what they saw and heard to help them going to into their final competition at Francis Howell High School the 25th of October.
