A measure of vengeance
Boys soccer beats Timberland 2-1 in the sectionals, advancing the team to the state semifinals, where they will face Lee’s Summit
The Spartans won 2-0 on Nov. 5, defeating Timberland at Liberty High School in the sectional game.
The game was a hard fought battle that was a rematch of last year’s quarterfinal game. The game was even in the first half and then in the second half Tristyn Hasmer scored, putting the spartans on top 1-0.
In the last two minutes as the game was winding down Kyle Setchfield scored to make it 2-0. They will play Marquette Saturday at 1 p.m., at FHC.
“If felt great to beat Timberland, after they beat us three solid times last year, and this year we beat them three solid times this year,” Tristyn Hasmer said.
