Varsity swimming placed first overall against Saint Dominick High School and Lutheran Christian High in a tri-meet, Carli Buchanan was less than one second away from makin her goal of state cut. In dive, Emma Cambell placed first and Kristy Eslinger second. In the 400 free-meter-freestyle relay, Lydia Kohler, Sheridan Aleksick, Megan Smith, and Carli Buchanan placed first. In the 100-meter-breststroke. Megan Smith placed first and Carli Buchanan placed first in the 100-meter butterfly. These placings racked up to the win for the Lady Spartans.

Carli Buchanan, although placing first in the 100-meter butterfly, was disappointed when her time was not even a second over the minimum time to place state cut. She said that her time was just as motivated,

“Our team is really hard working… we don’t have very many people at all who are slackers. Everyone has goals set and works toward them,” Buchanan said.
