In winter sports pep assembly, winter teams and outstanding student athletes were recognized for their dedicated participation in a varsity-level sport. The drawing from the Spartan stars took place in between basketball shootouts with teachers and student teams against other teacher and student teams.

The Sensations performed for the first time this year with their Studsations near the end of the assembly. The award-winning sensations went to nationals the previous weeks and brought home the 13th place trophy. The team gave it to activities director, Scott Harris, to put inside the glass display cases in the activities hallway. Senior Andy Moats, who announces at the pep assemblies, wishes that students would get more excited about school spirit.

“I definitely wish more people would get involved, especially seniors, since its the last one they get. Instead of skipping out, they should be the one’s leading it and being good examples for the younger kids,” said Moats.
