Spartans and Panthers, evenly matched?

Thursday, on April 28, the varsity girls soccer team played against the O’Fallon Panthers. The game ended with a 1-1 tie, causing frustration among multiple team members.

The field was tense, with both teams playing ferociously in an effort to score just one more goal before the timer hit zero. The coaches and crowd alike were vocal, shouting motivation and instruction to the girls. Despite the fierce playing, neither team could get the break it needed to win.

“It’s frustrating cuz if we have a lot of chances and we don’t like, execute them well, obviously then we tie, and when there’s so many chances that we could have won, I think it frustrates everybody.” Senior defender Jenna Adkins said.
