In a final game of the Spartan hockey season, Howell Central took Holt on Monday Jan. 23, coming out on top 8-6. Senior Gabe Vendetti and junior Corey Moats were the Spartans top scorers with three points each.

Vendetti, team captain, couldn’t be more proud of his team for going from what seemed to be a losing game after the second period, to skating off the ice in triumph, on no better night than senior night.

“We battled back from a 5-3 deficit and won 8-6,” Vendetti said. “I’ve never been more proud of my team. They made senior night and honestly this entire season so special for me and the other seniors and last night really signified our work ethic and who we are as a team. I’m excited to see where we go in the playoffs.” Vendetti said.
