Upsetting loss
Coming off a win against St. Dominic the day before, the boys soccer team faced Zumwalt West on Sept. 12 at home. Although the game was tied at half, West quickly pulled ahead, ending the game in a 5-2 loss for the Spartans.
With winning their game the day before, against the highly ranked St. Dominic, the loss for the Spartans came as a surprise. Senior goalie Logan Morris explained what the team gained from the game and their plans going forward.
“I’d say we learned to keep our cool and composure overall and not to worry about the things we cannot control,” Morris said. “Going forward we’re just going to keep playing our game and and do our best to make this as successful of a season as possible.”
