The Hidden Sacrifice
More stories from Brynlee Hendricks
10 Students here at Francis Howell Central sacrifice sleep & energy to join together before school every single morning. They come prepared to study the scriptures and share one with another. These 10 live what they learn & grow together even when it’s hard to make such a sacrifice so early in the morning. Seminary is a class started and continued by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, otherwise known as Mormons. The purpose of Seminary is to help youth come to understand the atonement of Jesus Christ, qualify for the blessings of the temple and prepare themselves, their families, and others for eternal life with our father in heaven. As Sophomore Ella Hutchinson says “For me, in seminary I like the camaraderie that we all feel together, just that we’re all doing this, we’re all getting up early but we all believe in the same thing. We all love the gospel enough to get up this early.”
