In a devastating 4-0 loss to conference rivals, Francis Howell, the boys soccer team is still high in spirits and potential. Howell was the main aggressor the whole game, with a few exceptions of Spartan counter attacks, but the match was lopsided in Howell’s favor. There were about 5 fouls every 10 minutes, because the two teams were really going at it on the field.

“Honestly, our soccer team is very young, with a whole bunch of juniors and a good amount of sophomores, all playing varsity for the first time,” principal, Brian Warner said. “The team has a lot of potential and playing team like Howell can get intimidating.”

With this game only being the third for the season, the Spartans are hoping for improvement the rest of the year. The next game is Saturday at noon where they will be hosting DeSmet.
