On Thursday September 6, the girls varsity volleyball team hosted the Francis Howell Vikings in a long awaited battle. The Spartans took advantage, did their homework, and worked hard earlier in the week. Which earned them an early lead, slowly crippling the Vikings will to compete. Slowly the vikings crept back and tied the 1st half with 20 points a piece making it anybody’s game.

Senior Haley Vlassos was a dominant force throughout the game and here’s what she had to say,” At the start we came out pretty strong, but we started to get into our own head later in the game.”

Sadly, the spartans fell to the vikings in a nail biter with a final score of 2-0.
