StuCo provides spa treatment for charity

The Student Council (StuCo) is currently providing for a child in the Make-A-Wish foundation by doing various fundraising events at FHC, and one of these events is a mother-daughter spa day. The spa day will be held at school on Jan. 14. It will cost $5 to enter, and is for women and their daughters, no matter what age.

The spa day includes manicures, massage and facials. Sponsor Mrs. Vicki Pohlman says it will also include a more serious fashion show for older girls and a dress-up fashion show for the smaller girls. There will also be items for sale including purses, jewelry, make-up and other items, as well as a station to stuff animals for kids.

“All the proceeds are going to our Make-A-Wish child,” Mrs. Pohlman said. “His name’s Marshall, and he wants to go to the Cardinals 2012 spring training.”

Stuco is doing several other fundraisers to grant Marshall’s Christmas wish. Another way anyone can donate is to write a letter to Santa. Each letter costs $1 and all proceeds go to the funding. If anyone has questions, go see Mrs. Pohlman in room 122.
