Cancer awareness win
On the night of Jan. 22, the varsity boys played in their pink out game to support cancer awareness. The Spartans played against Timberland Wolves and defeated the Wolves with a score of 65-55. The game was streamed live on this FHCtoday. The players help support cancer awareness with the team wearing their pink gear, the audience also participates by wearing pink and donating money throughout the game.
“I think it’s great because I mean that’s cancer itself whether it’s breast cancer or whatever type of cancer it is, it’s really hurtful to families and the person that it’s affected by, so to be able to support it and to raise money for it I think it’s great because we can kind of help take some of the weight off those people’s shoulders that have to pay for the medical expenses,” senior guard Colton Schweigert said.
