Senior year comes to a close

Senior year is coming to an end; prom was last weekend, it was amazing. AP tests are this week, and finals are getting so close. When did it all get to this point? I feel like just yesterday I was walking into these doors for the first time. Four years is not any time at all. You might think that you can’t wait for it to be over. Don’t get me wrong I can’t wait either, but it was all so fast. It really is something that you need to live fully. These are the best years of our lives. High school is a miserable place, filled with annoying, vicious people, but when you look back after it’s all over you realize how simple everything was. You get up at the same time every day, you go to the same classes, there’s just something so nice about the simplicity of it all.

I can’t believe I’m less than a month away from graduating. I really can’t, I feel like it came, and went, and I was just a zombie walking through it all just because you have to. Why didn’t I enjoy it more? Why wasn’t I involved in anything bigger? To all of my freshman readers, start getting involved next year. Be apart of your school, even if you think you hate it here. You never know how much joining a sports team, or club, will help with how you feel about it overall.

Okay, enough of the sappy love high school talk. Senior prom was this weekend, and it was amazing. So much better than last year. Going with a group of friends, no pressure, just fun, is 100x better than going with a date. Last year was so obnoxious, having to worry about my date constantly, and feeling like I should be with him the whole time. I didn’t have any fun, it was lame. This year I just danced with my friends and had a good time. I can’t think of a better way to kick off the end to my senior year, it was Crazy Good.
