JV girls volleyball takes second in tournament
JV girls volleyball looses final match to Howell 2-1.
On Sept. 10th, the Howell Central girls JV volleyball team placed second in the Will Gillespie Memorial JV Volleyball Tournament held at Francis Howell High School. In total they played six games, making it to the semifinal against St. Charles High, and playing in the finals against Howell. They ended up losing 2-1.
The girls went down fighting in a back and forth match against Howell. Their lack of communication is what ended up getting them in the end.
Junior Rilee Geringer, sees the second place finish as something to learn from.
“Overall, our team learned to not get down on ourselves, to keep talking, and to just never give up,” Geringer said.
