Tough loss against Howell
The JV girls softball team faced Francis Howell High School on Sept. 13 at home. Despite their strong start, Howell quickly took the lead and ended up winning the game 6-0.
Because of the bumps in the road that the team faced in the middle of the season, the girls have learned how to grow from it and move on. Junior outfielder Sienna Thorpe, explains where they went wrong and how they can improve their game by staying positive and encouraging others.
“In the beginning of the season we were hitting and fielding and we just hit a rough patch in the middle of the season. We got in our heads a lot,” Thorpe said. “We weren’t all cheering and we just weren’t hitting like we usually do against other teams.”
Be sure to catch your JV girls softball team in their next away game on Sept. 22 against Timberland at 4:15 p.m.
