Walling off Troy

At dusk on September 17th, the Francis Howell Central Girls Varsity volleyball team amped up for a grueling match against Troy highschool. Easily winning the first game, the girls team fell into a slump in the second game, losing in a close twenty two to twenty four loss. Culminating in an intense third game, the Varsity girls began with a slow back and forth before taking a harsh lead and shutting out troy with over a ten point lead. With such an intense game, it is clear that the Varsity team is overcoming all obstacles they may have faced early on. Senior player Emily Mundle comments:

“We’ve faced a lot of adversity in the early season like people not being able to play and line up changes,” Mundle comments. “But it’s made us stronger.”

Pushing through all difficulties, the girls Varsity team will continue on towards a spectacular late season. Facing Francis Howell highschool at home on monday September 30th, the Francis Howell Central girls will be pushed hard and must endure an extreme challenge. Going in headstrong, there is no limit to how far they can go this season.
