Emotions and energy were high as the JV girls volleyball team played a close and competitive game against St. Dominic on Sept. 23. After barely losing their first set 25-23, they came back during the second and pulled a strong win with the score being 25-16. However, during the very close third set the team fell behind and lost by three points, leaving the whole game at 2-1.

Although this loss has been hard because of how close it was, the team learned how to improve for the rest of the season.

“It sucked but that’s okay because the next practice we knew what we needed to work on and we tried really hard to fix the things we needed to change,” sophomore Marlene Andert said.

They have played and lost one game since this one but are continuing to practice and prepare for their next game on Oct. 15 against Holt starting at 5 p.m. at home.
