Mix-It-Up Day successful for CDC

Mix-It-Up Day is a nationwide activity that the Cultural Diversity Club decided to bring to our school last year. On Nov. 10, 24 lunch tables were set aside and decorated with pieces of candy, baloons, and ice breaker questions.

Any student is allowed to participate, but the catch is that students are encouraged to sit with other students that they don’t know. The ice breaker questions on the table are about school, activites, family, and friends. Another incentive is that students participating have the opportunity to win prizes such as gift cards.

Mix-It-Up Days has been sucessful so far. Hundreds of students participate in them.

“Students who did participate had a good time and made new friends,” said Mrs. Lisa Milos, sponsor of the Cultural Diversity Club.

Since it seems to be sucessful, the Cultural Diversity Club plans to continue with this monthly.
