College colors kick off spirit week

Yesterday students and staff wore their favorite college colors in support of spirit week.

“I got accepted into Truman, so I wanted to represent where I wanted to go,” said senior Michelle Howard, sporting her purple Truman shirt.

Students who wore college apparel could participate in the raffle held in the lunchroom, where the winners were awarded free gas cards.

College day was one of the most voted ideas for spirit week this year by Student Council (StuCo).

A small number of seniors decided to start their own spirit week, Monday being Toga Day.

“It’s a fun way to participate,” said senior Chelsea Hull, wearing her black toga.
