Students, teachers show off style

Tuesday was GQ day, the second day of Homecoming Spirit Week. Students came dressed to impress in their best to show their school pride. Seniors were scheduled to have their class panoramic picture the same day; however, due to technical difficulties, the shoot was rescheduled to Friday.

Other students, panoramic photo or not, still chose not to participate in this day’s festivities. Some forgot, others weren’t prepared, and many students just did not feel up to it.

“Honestly, I really don’t care. I mean, I don’t have that many nice pairs of clothes, anyway,” said senior Ian Vaughan.

Each spirit day, administrators walk the halls finding students showing their school spirit to give raffle tickets to. At the end of seventh hour, Principal Sonny Arnel reads off the winning tickets to give a way a congratulatory prize.

“I think it’s a great way to get school spirit up,” said freshman Kara Kammermeyer. “I just wish more kids would actually get into it.”
