The school musical is taking shape as the crews continue to work hard.
The spring musical, “The Addams Family” is theatre’s new work in progress. Both the crew and cast alike are anticipating the release to the public of the production. The dates are April 23-25. More specifics to be released at a later date. The paint crew head and junior Emily Schnarr is looking forward to the turnout as far as the set, costumes etc. are concerned.
“Everything’s settled with what people are on what crew and the cast has been chosen. The actors have just started rehearsals and are on their way to create an amazing production,” Schnarr said.
From an actor’s perspective, the excitement is building too. Junior Jack Roither will be playing the supporting role of Mal Bynukie in the musical.
“We’ve just started, but we’re getting somewhere with things as far as the set, how the characters are suppose to act on stage, and even the choreography which is made up by geometry teacher and the dance coach for the varsity Sensations Ms. Roxanne Henry,” Roither said.
For senior Trevor Nemnich, his excitement is through the roof over the upcoming musical. Nemnich is fairly new to the the theatre community; he was in student led “One Acts” as his first role in a production. He loved the experience so much he wanted to participate in a production again. According to him, the progress theatre as a whole is making is good.
“Things are going amazing! I love my cast members. Plus, the vocals and choreography are wonderful,” said Nemnich.
