Everything seems to be going green, as paper is being used less and less. In its place is a collaboration of wires, buttons, touch screens, keyboards and applications. In other words, technology.
“We’re getting ready for online registration,” said Mrs. Michelle Breuer, a guidance counselor.
Instead of using traditional paper packets, students will be registering for their classes online. Rockwood and Parkway are already using this type of system.
“I think it will be good because they can take ownership for it,” said Mrs. Breuer. “It will be different.”
Counselors will meet with students in January and February to discuss the classes students would like on their schedule for the next year.
The guidance office is also continuing to meet with their Sage, who have met twice so far, and minority groups, which has met once.
“I think it’s going fine so far,” said Mrs. Breuer.
According to Mrs. Breuer, this time of the school year is basically used as a planning time for everything that goes on in January and February.
