The annual DECA dodgeball tournament is approaching, and sign ups have begun for all students and teachers. The tournament will take place on April 25.
According to Mr. Steve Cross, the tournament allows students to hear about DECA and encourage them to get involved.
“It gets our name out there,” Mr. Cross said. “It lets other students recognize the name and find out what it is about, especially younger kids. Everybody likes dodgeball.”
The dodgeball tournament targets all students and teachers who just want to have a good time whether they are in DECA or not.
“They should come to have fun if they like playing dodgeball,” Mr. Cross said. “There will be music, pizza and a uniform competition.”
This is not only to benefit students, but also to get more people involved in DECA.
“It is one of our social activities for DECA. It’s mostly for fun but it also promotes us and we have fun while we are doing it,” Mr. Cross said.
