When I started school at FHC last year, I was taking French 1. I was taking it to have better communication with my cousins in France, so I was hoping it was going to be really easy. Sadly, I was very wrong, and the class was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done. I tried my hardest and took all the extra credit opportunities to try and pass and got a tutor to this teacher’s suggestion, but I didn’t succeed. I had barely failed the class, only my 1.5 percent. I wasn’t looking forward to retaking it this year, but this teacher assured me it would be okay.
When I started this year, I was worried I was going to fail yet again, but realized that the class was a lot easier the second time. I was suggested multiple things to do by this teacher, to keep my grade improved. First semester went by great in the class, and with her guidance i got a higher grade than I expected. At the beginning of second semester I was confident I would pass it this time, but I missed a few days of school and didn’t make up any of the work. I also had a hard time learning things like irregular conjugation (I had this problem the previous year as well) and writing French. Worrying I was going to fail I studied (and still am studying) as much as I can and will probably pass this semester. This teacher is Mrs. Burton.
