New resources have been made available to FHC students staying after-school. Those who stay after school will be provided with multiple opportunities for academic improvement. Students will be given the choice to complete homework and socialize in the cafeteria or visit the library for any additional assistance they may require.
“The library is expanding its hours till 5:45 p.m.,” explained Principal Sonny Arnel. “This will allow students to stay and accomplish academic tasks without requiring the public library.”
Tutoring will be offered every day throughout the school week. Teachers, as well as NHS members and A+ students, will be available to tutor students in a variety of subjects from math and science to health and FACS.
Math is the only subject for which tutoring will also be provided before school. Students may receive math tutoring before school from 6:20 a.m. to 7:05 a.m. in room 205 on Tuesdays, room 206 on Wednesdays, and room 213 on Thursdays and Fridays. Tutoring for all other subjects will occur after school in the Learning Commons (Library).
