Members of the girls basketball team are bathed in light as they are introduced before their game against Francis Howell North. The girls won the game, improving their record to 6-0.

The Lady Knights came out fighting on Jan. 30, but found Howell Central eagerly waiting to take home a win. In varsity girls basketball action, the Lady Spartans improved their record to 15-3 overall and 6-0 in GAC conference matchups, after beating the Knights with a final score of 45-40.

Junior Yani Curry explains what was so essential to her team pulling off an important, big win.

“I would say the fact that we treat every game with the same importance and intensity is key. We all bought in to taking this season game-by-game, one possession at a time,” Curry said.
