The varsity boys soccer team is undefeated in play this week, winning a contest against Troy Buchanan High School by a score of 3-0.
With goals scored by Taylor Yocum, Paul Haluszczak and Derek Hoerman, the team is now 11-1-1.
The team’s strong offensive performance is leading the team to success on the field.
“We have been playing really, really well. We have been scoring a lot of goals, and we are playing good soccer,” said senior forward Corey Scharf.
Everybody on the team is contributing their part to the team. Sophomores are giving their best in the time they play and following the example of the seniors. The juniors and seniors continue to provide a majority of the goals for the team.
The team will continue play Friday night when they travel to Francis Howell High to take on its archrival, the Vikings. The team will then compete in a tournament at Oakville High School over fall break.
