Students prepare for GQ day

The 2011-2012 Homecoming week consists of pajama day, GQ day, wacky Wednesday, decade day and blue and silver day. Today, students dressed up for GQ day to show their school spirit. The students that dressed up, enjoyed getting ready in the morning, and wearing nice clothes.

“This morning, [for GQ day,] I put on make-up, did my hair and then picked out a pair of my favorite heels,” junior Alyssa McGoogan said. “I then planned my outfit around my heels.”

“I like getting all dressed up and girly when I normally just wear jeans and a T-shirt,” sophomore Kaitlyn Carbrey said.

“I woke up late for GQ day; I actually had 15 minutes, so I had to rush,” sophomore Dohen Gallagher said. “I somehow managed to dress for the day, put on make-up and do my hair.”

“To get ready, I put on my new shirt, paired it with my fairly new pants and some shoes,” sophomore Katelyn Viola said.

“I already had my clothes picked out for GQ day,” senior Garrett Navratil said. “I couldn’t tie my tye this morning, so I had to go to youtube to figure it out.”

“I participate in spirit days because I am a cheerleader, and we need to show school spirit,” senior Jessica Moore said. “I had to wear my uniform this morning and change after the senior panoramic.”

“I woke up super early to get ready for [GQ day,]” senior Courtney Tebeau said. “It was a fun morning for me, annd I am really excited.”

“I always take a lot of pictures with friends when we are dressed up,” senior Kristin Gregory said. “Knowing people participate in school spirit days makes me enjoy school more.”

“I enjoy dressing up for spirit days because it seems to make the day go by more quickly,” junior Amy Sweeney said. “I look forward to coming to school to see what creative ideas people come up with. It’s also a little distracting from school, in a good way of course, so we aren’t completely absorbed in work.”
