This month’s center spread in the Central Focus is about soldiers and how their families cope over the holidays. In honor of those thousands of families across the country, FHCtoday.com and the Central Focus will be collecting money to donate to Cell Phones for Soldiers during lunches on Friday. For every two dollars we collect, a soldier will get the ability to call home and speak to loved ones for an hour. With that many miles between the soldiers overseas and their families, a phone call can make that distance seem a little closer to home. It will make those Christmas lights shine a little brighter, make those presents seem a little less important and make those cookies taste a little sweeter. Giving the gift of a loved one may be the best gift those familes could ask for.
