Winning performance keeps soccer team on track

The soccer team has continued to be successfull on the field, winning games on Friday and Tuesday night, and tieing Wednesday night to bring the team’s record to 9-1-1. The soccer team defeated Parkway West High by a score of 1-0 Friday night at home, and on Tuesday night the team traveled to Northwest High and crushed Waterloo High 7-2. Four players scored during the game, including three goals scored by senior forward Taylor Yocum.

On Wednesday night, the team managed a tie against Clayton High.

“We are really coming together [this season],” said junior Derek Hoerman.The team continues to win on the field and bond together.

The team will continue to play in the Northwest High School Tournament for the remainder of the week, weather permitting.
