Soccer team looks ahead to districts

The soccer team won its final two games of the season, defeating Washington High by a score of 7-0 and beating Duchense 1-0 on senior night.

Senior forward Corey Scharf scored the final goal in the regular season against Duchense.

For the second year in a row, every field player has had a goal or an assist over the course of the season.

With a record of 16-7-1, the team earned the No. 2 seed in districts. The team is putting the regular season behind them and focusing on success in district play. They begin play against Timberland at Francis Howell High School Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m.

“I think we will win districts again if we play as a team, like we have most of the season,” said junior forward Derek Hoerman.
