Most students have heard about the earthquake that rocked Haiti on Jan. 12. Not only was everyone devastated by the news that Haiti was hit by an earthquake, but the news struck especially close to home with one student at FHC.
Jeff Desir, a freshman, has distant relatives back in Haiti. His family needs donations for funerals and to help rebuild. All donations are welcome.
“I was in shock, just total shock,” said freshman Jeff Desir.
The school is just coming together to try to help a student in need and make his time of grief easier. Donations can be given to Mr. Todd Berck throughout the school day. They will be collecting money through Friday morning for the funeral. Then the school plans on collecting more money later to help. They are working closely with the family in order to help out.
