Stoplight day highlights lack of school spirit
Some of you may have noticed other students wearing red, yellow or green on Wednesday, Feb. 11. These students were taking in part in the Student Council’s Spirit Week. Along with the other days of the week, the students found it difficult to get the word out about the themes. With snow days and most students just not participating, the school day just seemed normal.
“No one really seemed to participate because they do not want to be singled out and no one really cares about the school spirit,” said StuCo vice president Jamie Downey.
The days this week have been different from previous spirit weeks, which was done to try to get students involved.
“We wanted new and original days,” said Downey.
