Fasten your seat belts; it’s going to be a bumpy ride

Hello guys and dolls. I’m assuming that you know that I’m Lizzi Holland, but you know what they say about assuming. I’m new to Francis Howell Central, coming from McCluer North, and I must say I went through a bit of a culture shock. The fact that I had been in the Ferguson Florissant School District since kindergarten probably contributed a tad to that, but I’m slowly adjusting. I’m a junior with the world on my shoulders, just like any other teenage girl. However, I hope to show you that I’m anything but ordinary. I’m aspiring to be a criminal psychiatrist in the future, which is probably why I know an almost frightening amount of “fun” facts about various serial killers. Actually, I know a sizable amount of fun facts in general…

Fun fact: A jellyfish will evaporate in the sun because it is 98% water. Minding blowing? I think not. Something to say during an awkward silence? Yes.

But, any who, I’m getting off subject.

Within this blog I’m planning on writing about music. I know, I know, that seems like something anyone with half a brain can write about, but I hope to bring a fresh take on it. Also, my subtle, yet corny sense of humor is bound to become exposed, which while embarrassing to me, will always be here for your viewing pleasure. Not you. Lean to the left a little, ah yes. You. See that’s what I’m talking about.

Nevertheless, I would like to start off this blog with a little homework for you. That is, if anyone is even reading this. Click to another tab, get on YouTube, and look up The Suffering by Coheed and Cambria. Yes, I understand that by simply reading the title you’re going to expect either an angry or “emo” song. But, you will slowly learn not to judge a book by its cover, or in this case a song by its title. This song is actually surprisingly upbeat and I shamefully must admit to having danced around my room to it a few times.

So, enjoy. 🙂 If you like the song, feel free to check Coheed and Cambria out a bit. They’re a lovely band, if I do say so myself. And if you don’t, stay tuned. I listen to a variety of music, so you’re bound to like at least one of the things I mention. And if you don’t, you clearly have no taste. Just kidding. Not really.

Well, until next time, goodbye. And in case I don’t see you, good afternoon, good evening, and goodnight.
