NHS plans for the semester

The National Honor Society has a lot of activities lined up this semester for members to take part in.

“Right now we are planning our upcoming spring service project with different events happening around the community and the school,” NHS Sponsor Dena Rulo said.

Members who are juniors can participate in the Big Brothers/Big Sisters program at Henderson Elementary on Mondays or Tuesdays from 2:30-3:30 p.m. Senior Citizen Night is coming up. May is teacher appreciation month. Volunteers are needed for parent teacher conferences on March 24 and 25 and National Junior Honor Society induction ceremony on May 21. Applications for NHS will be taken up in March and the Induction Ceremony for new members will be May 5 at 7 p.m. NHS will meet on these dates for the remaining semester, Feb. 8, March 8, April 12 and May 10.
