Monday morning, freshman Chris Ewens was found deceased in his bed.
The family notified Principal Sonny Arnel of Ewens’ death early Monday morning, and Dr. Arnel in turn notified the student body in place of regular morning announcements at the end of first hour.
At present, the school does not know the cause of death nor know of funeral arrangements. Dr. Arnel promised to pass this along as soon as it becomes known.
In an email issued to staff Monday morning, Dr. Arnel said the school’s counselors are available to anyone who would like to discuss this issue in a more private setting.
