DECA is hosting its annual dodgeball tournament on April 13 in the big gym. All students are allowed to participate, but they are responsible for forming teams and paying the entry price of $40, which is $5 per person. Dodgeball teams need a minimum of eight people and must register by April 8. The tournament begins at 5:45 p.m. and each team will compete until the there is a winner.
“The competition is intense. A lot of teams have rivalries, juniors against seniors. Some varsity teams compete against their junior varsity team,” said DECA President, senior Adam Farmer.
A team solely made up of teachers from the Business Department competed in last year’s tournament. Two teachers suffered from injuries, including one broken finger. Teams will all compete for the title of top dog and there will be a DJ there as well.
“It is a fun activity for people anywhere. A way to get connected to DECA,” said Farmer.
