Senior volleyball players look to enjoy last season
Monday, Aug. 29 signals the start of the 2011 girls volleyball season. The girls team enters this season with five seniors: Caitlin Geringer, Lyndsie Vogel, Bridget Laughlin, Sydney Miller and Kayla Allsman.
“My personal goal is to enjoy my last season of high school volleyball because I know that this time next year, I’ll already be missing it,” Geringer said. “I’m sure the rest of the seniors will want to enjoy our year too; we’ve been playing together for a while now.”
The team is hopeful for a successful season, and seniors are looking to lead the team to success.
“I want to be a leader on and off the court,” Vogel said. “Also I will always be aggressive and do my best for my team.”
The season begins with a game at Hazelwood West against the Wildcats at 7p.m. this Monday.
