Girls volleyball off to strong start

The girls volleyball team is off to a strong start and is proving many critics wrong, according to senior Kayla Allsman.

“Many people don’t think that we can do anything this year,” Allsman said. “We have proved them wrong especially with taking first at the St. Charles West tournament this weekend.”

The volleyball team beat St. Dominic in the championship game on Saturday after losing to them earlier in the tournament.

Despite this success, senior Sydney Miller stays focused on the road ahead.

“I think the most critical moments are still to come,” Miller said. “The next few weeks should be our toughest we have Howell and Howell North coming up.”

In addition to the start of competition, the team selected senior Caitlin Geringer and junior Mallory Dillon as this years team captains.
