Cross country walks away leaving everything on the course

Success is often used to describe the 2011 boys cross country team according to sophomore Taylor Stone.

“In my opinion, I think we have one of the best guys teams in a long time. The girls are looking pretty strong also,” said varsity runner, Stone.

All of the male varsity runners achieved their personal best time at the Forest Park meet on Saturday.

“It was a really big meet with a lot of teams and as a team, all the boys got a personal record,” said Stone.

Although the boys are improving, many of them still have goals that they have not reached and are continuing to strive for the winning titles.

“I ran my best time, but it wasn’t as good as I think I should have done,” said Stone.

The girls team, on the other hand, did not do as well in the meet. A few of the top varsity runners were out taking the ACT test and had to miss a meet.

The girls and boys runners should be back at Saturday’s meet at Sioux Passage to bring their best effort.
