After a ceremony and ribbon cutting to celebrate the new tennis courts, the ladies took on Fort Zumwalt East on Thursday, Sept. 15. With this being the first home match, the team was ready to bring home a win.
“We felt good and happy because it was our first home match, and we knew we would win; we protected our house,” junior Kourtlyn Adams said.
With a match score of 9-0, the tennis team’s record moves to 5-1. With high spirits the team looks ahead to take on Holt today in hopes of improving their record to 6-1.
“I think finally having a home match helped us come together as a team and will unite us even more in the matches to come,” senior Lindsey Neuwirth said.
