Girls golfers break PR’s
The girls golf team is continuing to outdo itself. The tri-meet the team played on the 19th ended in a second place finish with Howell in first and Fort Zumwalt East in third. However, the team shot its best cumulative score of the season, a 189. Three of the girls themselves broke their personal records.
“We also had three girls shoot their best scores of the season: [junior] Becca Bates, [senior] Katlyn Schaefermeier and [freshman] Caitlyn Eddy,” Head Coach John Miller said.
In the tri-meet against Timberland and St. Dominic, the team placed second behind Timberland but beat St. Dominic.
“We lost to Timberland, but Timberland is ranked third in the state, so that’s okay.” said senior Kristin Gregory.
The girls will be finishing up their season within the next week with the Knight Cup taking place tomorrow night at Links of Dardenne golf course.
