On August 23rd, Francis Howell Central’s girls tennis team officially started their 2012 season.
Their first match at Fort Zumwalt South started with positive energy and positive attitudes.
Senior Kourtlyn Adams was happy with the way her team competed.
“Everyone had a lot of energy, and we were all really excited to play,” said Adams.
The positive energy lasted through the match, and they came away with a win, scoring 8-1.
Because of new players, this year’s team has been focusing on team bonding. They have been working to take their talented individual players and unify them into a team. According to Adams The goal to unite the players has been successful.
Adams said one of the best things about this year’s team is “Everybody gets along really well.”
The team is looking forward to an upcoming game against their rival, Francis Howell, on the 27th.
