JV girls basketball reigns victorious over Timberland for the second time this season
For the second time this season, Spartan JV Girls Basketball has won against Timberland. In an intense battle to victory on January 23, 2018, the girls scored 38 points, winning by a margin of 9 points. According to activities director, Scott Harris, it was their fifth win a row and they improved to 8-2 on the season.
Given that they had beat Timberland previously this season, the girls “knew [Timberland] would be coming out with a lot more passion” this game in attempt to redeem themselves, said sophomore Christa Rolsing. The Spartans were inspired to prepare more fiercely and “mainly focused on working against a press” to get ready for the pressure that Timberland would impose, explained Sophia Bahru, sophomore.
The Spartan JV Girls will play Troy Buchanan at 5:30 pm on Friday, February 2nd.
