A Look Into the Past
The month of February is known as black history month across the whole United States. On Feb. 21 the FHC students and staff participated in a black history month museum to celebrate the culture. In the Learning Commons there were tables set up with many different things to interact with and read concerning black history. Junior Alyssa Pendleton was one of the many students who got the opportunity to visit the museum.
“I loved that we got to appreciate the past of black history”, Pendleton says, “the museum really did a good job putting it into perspective what it looked like in America many years ago”.
FHC will continue to celebrate Black History month on Friday, Feb. 28 during sixth and seventh hours with an assembly in the auditorium.
