Tennis team picks up steam

In the middle of a short season, the girls tennis team at Francis Howell Central finds itself with a 4-5 record. Following three straight losses to start the season, the team came back strong, winning four of its next six matches including a win against Hazelwood West in its last competition. This win came in landslide fashion when the girls came out victorious with a score of 6-1.

“We were excited to win the way that we did,” said senior Christine Grippi. “We always go out to compete and win, but when we win that big, it is more fun.”

The girls will not have much time to enjoy this win; however, they travel to Timberland on Thursday to face the Wolves at their home court.
